Klavi is a macOS menu bar app that plays mechanical keyboard and typewriter sounds when you press keys. Klavi does not collect, store, transmit, or share any data about you or your usage.
Klavi requires the Input Monitoring permission so it can play a sound when you press a key. Klavi reads only which key was pressed (the key code). Klavi never reads or stores what you type.
The only data Klavi stores is your local preferences (selected pack, volume,
language, mute state) and a keystroke counter (session, today, all-time). All of
this is kept on your Mac using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage.
None of it is uploaded anywhere.
https://saglitz.com/apps/klavi uses the Sparkle update framework to
check for new versions. No identifying information about you is sent in this request
beyond a standard HTTP User-Agent header.Klavi is suitable for all ages. It does not collect any personal data, and it does not contain advertising, in-app purchases, or third-party tracking.
If we ever change what Klavi does with data, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be mentioned in the app's release notes.
